World Championship of Online Poker Update

The World Championship of Poker kicked off almost a week ago bringing together thousands of players from around the world. The past six days have been packed with steady action and tons of prize money. However, there’s still a lot more tournaments left to be settled over the next 10 days. So to keep you up to speed here’s what been happening so far.
So far 11 of the total 33 events scheduled for the 2008 WCOOP have been played and decided, with the 12th event currently ongoing. So far over 17,700 players have signed on and stat down at one of PokerStars’ tables. Representing 107 different countries, 75 of which have had cashing players, the WCOOP really has proven the significance of online poker.
So here’s a recap of the last 11 events that have doled out more than $11 million of the tournament’s $30 million plus prize pool.
