Online poker players of all talent levels and backgrounds may no longer have to decide which forum is the best for sharpening their skills. Instead, all of the resources from the top two sites will now be combined and offered in two separate locations.
Earlier this week, CardRunners and StoxPoker announced a plan to merge their astronomic quantity of training resources into what is referred to as the most extensive library of educational poker videos and information on the internet. In addition, this resource will include continued instruction from a combined roster of top-level poker “professors” to provide a nearly limitless supply of lessons to viewers across the world.
Both CardRunners.com and StoxPoker.com will continue to operate as separate entities and websites but will focus their marketing efforts on different types of audiences to avoid any conflicting overlaps. Nevertheless, with their entire training services combined, they will still be one company.
CardRunners.com is a broad and extensive online poker training resource in its own right and currently provides its competitive services to over 14,000 members across the U.S. and the world. As it has in the past, the site will continue to focus on providing effective strategies and training videos to advanced poker players as opposed to beginners. Its “professors” include Brian Hastings, Cole South, Taylor Caby and Brian Townsend.
StoxPoker.com, dubbed on their site as “one of the oldest training sites on the internet,” will focus on the beginning and intermediate players with the goal of releasing 10 new training videos every week. The site – whose team of poker experts has collectively written 7 best-selling poker training books – employs more of a classroom setting. Specifically, the StoxPoker University alone has 497 poker videos to offer its continuously growing population of members.
